History of The Alden Shoe Company

The Alden Shoe Company was founded in 1884 by Charles H. Alden in Middleborough, Massachusetts. Alden has manufactured superior shoes for men for over 120 years and is dedicated to the highest standards in men shoe-making. Alden is now the only original New England shoe and bootmaker and remains a family owned business that continues the tradition of quality shoe craftsmanship.

Alden Restoration Program

Alden shoes are the best in comfort and support because of the Goodyear-Welt construction that is designed to allow rebuilding. Therefore, all Alden shoes come with a factory Restoration Service Kit that includes a prepaid mailer. Alden shoes receive expert rebuilding process, using original materials that are refinished by hand. They are returned with Alden cedar shoes trees and cloth bags.
